{"id":7131,"date":"2011-11-16T04:30:07","date_gmt":"2011-11-16T04:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tinhvan.vn\/?p=7131"},"modified":"2013-05-22T11:04:35","modified_gmt":"2013-05-22T11:04:35","slug":"configuration-management-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/tinhvan.vn\/en\/2011\/11\/16\/configuration-management-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Configuration Management Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>With the aim of enhancing knowledge and the quality of configuration management activities, a \u201cConfiguration Management Workshop\u201d was held by Tinhvan Group on June 30<sup>th<\/sup> with the participation of many key managers and programmers.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Hoi-thao-quan-ly-cau-hinh-300x193.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7134  aligncenter\" title=\"Hoi-thao-quan-ly-cau-hinh-300x193\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Hoi-thao-quan-ly-cau-hinh-300x193.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"193\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Hoi-thao-quan-ly-cau-hinh-300x193.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Hoi-thao-quan-ly-cau-hinh-300x193-150x96.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Management reprentatives from Tinhvan Group includes Mr. Pham Thuc Truong Luong, VP of Products, International Relations, QMR; Mr. Nguyen Son Tung, COO of Tinhvan Outsourcing, Mr. Nguyen Vinh Tho, CTO of Tinhvan Solutions, and Mr.\u2013 Nguyen Khanh Duy, CTO of Tinhvan Telecom.<\/p>\n<p>At the workshop, issues relating to configuration management as well as effective management tools were presented by speakers: \u201cConfiguration Management for Java-based projects using Continuum automatic tool builder\u201d presented by Ngo Phan Hai \u2013 the Project Manager of TVO; \u201cConfiguration Management for .Net-based projects using Team Foundation Server tool\u201d by Nguyen Thanh Hai \u2013 the head of TVS software solution department and \u201cManagement of distributed configuration for Bazzar &#8211; based projects\u201d by Nguyen Khanh Duy \u2013 TVT\u2019s CTO<\/p>\n<p>A survey pointed out that 80% of the participants evaluated the workshop to be informative and useful by providing necessary knowledge of the current configuration management situations and related concerns in all Tinhvan Group\u2019s members. Some recommendations from different \u00a0departments raised at the workshop will be mentioned in improvement proposal for management\u2019s\u2019 consideration.<\/p>\n<p>Software configuration management is one of the \u00a0processes in software development created in about 20 years ago. This process helps developers control changes and the structure of software systems. It is easy to find requirements on CM directly or indirectly in popular software development processes models such as CMM\/CMMI, ISO 15504 or ISO 9001:2000. In CMM and CMMI, configuration managent is a mandatory process from level 2 \u2013 the most basic level of these two models.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, Tinhvan Group is implementing all 3 quality control systems simultaneously: ISO 9001:2008, ISO\/IEC 27001:2005 and CMMI level 3. Reality shows that a good configuration management process can hep solve a variety of challenges in the projects, especially in big projects.
