Tinhvan Group – where supports for physics talents vi

In the afternoon of April 11th 2011, Physics and Youth Club Theoretic Olymiad – PYCTO 2010 was held at the hall no 24/24 Nguyen Cong Hoan Hanoi.

This is a competition for physics-loving students at home and abroad organized by Physics and Youth magazine, Physics and Youth club and “Science Exploration” bookshelf under the sponsorship of Tinhvan Group.

Presenting at the Award were Dr. Pham Van Thieu – Deputy Secretary of Vietnam’s Physics Association, Chief Editor of Physics and Youth Magazine, Professor and Doctor of Science Nguyen Van Lien – the senior researcher of sSolid sState Physics, Nano Physics – Vietnam Institute of Physics and the representative of the sponsor –   Tinhvan Group together with many students loving physics, participants of the PYCTO 2010 contest and members of Physics and Youth Club.

After the success of the “Online theory physics – PYCTO” contest in 2009, the “Online theory physics – PYCTO” in 2010 continued to be held byPhysics and Youth magazine, Physics and Youth club and “Science Exploration” bookshelf. At the end of the contest, there were no prizes awarded for the secondary-school block. In the block of high schools, the winner was Tran Tuyen – a 12th grade student  from the gifted physics class of Le Quy Don gifted high school, Quang Tri province. The runner-up was Pham Duy Khanh – a student of class 11F – Lam Son gifted high school, Thanh Hoa province. The third place was awarded  to  Ho Trong Tung – class12A3, Pham Boi Chau gifted high school, Nghe An province.

The “Online Theory Physics – PYCTO” is an annual contest aiming at creating an useful and interesting playground for the young absorbed in physics. Young people under 20 years old having passion for physics can take part in this contest. Thanks to its online form, all  students at home and abroad can join this competition . Participants will have to finish the tasks and send them directly to the email address of the contest. It has 3 rounds: the 1st round –  high-school physics exercises, the 2nd round – subject-related exercises and the 3rd round –  daily life-related exercises.
