On the morning of September 6th, 2013, Tinhvan Group re-received the certificate of Information Security Management System ISO 27001:2005.

Speaking in the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuyen said that information security management system in ISO/IEC 27001:2005 was very important to organizations, enterprises, especially digital and software companies when level of information security in technology companies in Vietnam is said to be quite weak. There were not many companies having that certificate. As a result, Ministry of Information and Communications supported them in other way: providing advices and helping them build checking process and training workshop.

The first time Tinhvan Group received certificate of ISO/IEC 27001:2005 was in 2010. The company was highly appreciate in the next few years. The meeting was the result of periodic re-evaluation 3 years a time. In the session, Ministry of Information and Communications supported companies a part of budget according to “advise enterprises to receive certificate ISO 27001” project. It aimed to support companies in carrying out Information Security Management System in ISO/IEC 27001/2005: advise for testing in ISO 27001; consult to make domestic evaluating team in ISO 27001 and advise to make plans in ISO 27001.

ISO 27001 which is built and developed BS-7799 information security standard from British Standard Institution is the point to evaluate the information security management system of companies. This is the detail regulations to found, follow, operate, maintain and improve the system security management system.
